Traditional braces are one of the most efficient orthodontic tools we have. They’re made from metal or ceramic brackets attached to your teeth. These parts are then connected by wires and rubber bands or elastics. The components of your braces work together to apply gentle pressure, through regular adjustments with our doctors, which will slowly move the teeth into the correct position.
Bellaire braces are an excellent choice for correcting simple and complex tooth issues, and everything in between. Bellaire braces are also a cost-effective option if you’re on a budget. Because they sometimes work faster at closing gaps and aligning teeth than other options might, overall treatment time can be slightly reduced. Also, braces don’t require some of the more complicated technology or expensive equipment that newer treatments can.
The Bellaire Invisalign system uses clear, removable aligners to gradually move your teeth instead of brackets and bands. This option is very popular with both patients and orthodontists, making it the top alternative to traditional braces.
Invisalign aligners are made of a comfortable plastic material and customed designed to fit snugly over your teeth. Your trays will be virtually invisible and you’ll switch them out every 1-2 weeks for the next set to make sure your teeth keep moving in the right direction! Aligners must be worn 20-22 hours per day throughout treatment for them to do their job. Patients who don’t wear their aligners as directed can have a negative impact on the results and also add time to the orthodontic process.
Invisalign is most effective when used to correct many of the most common orthodontic issues. For some complex cases, Invisalign may not be a viable option. A free consultation with McGrory Orthodontics will be able to help determine your eligibility for Invisalign.
